Back in 1984 changes were in the air at the top of Wick Street and beyond. The fields on the west side were about to be swallowed up by development, proncipally the Body Shop. The T junction where Worthing Road joined Wick Street would soon become a roundabout and the lovely classic flint wall where we used to wait for the Sunday School rambles to begin for some reason also had to be demolished, although this had no effect on the road or roundabout.
